Thursday

Buenos Dias, todos!

This is our last full day before we leave tomorrow morning ... everyone will certainly leave a portion of their heart here!

Today we visit as many of the kids we can, finish any projects started, and give as many hugs as our arms can hold ... it is that simple to minister at the orphanage.
Each student and adult on our trip has been touched, changed and blessed by our trip - and we pray that our efforts here have built up, strengthened and encouraged the children, volunteers and staff as well. As much as pictures help to show you what we have been doing, what is of greater value right now is the "doing" - the pictures will follow, and we appreciate your support!
Bendiciones a todos ustedes!

Wednesday Morning

"I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High." - Psalm 9:1-2

This time last week we were in the air on our way to Atlanta for this adventure - how quickly the days have passed, and how deeply grateful we are for His faithfulness!
Today we take a break to see a place very special to Honduras, Valley de Angeles (Valley of Angels). We are leaving in an hour, having a traditional Hondurean breakfast and lunch, going swimming, and returning in the afternoon.

Please hold us in your prayers for traveling safety.

Tuesday Evening

Thankful for a blessed evening of testimonies from three young women who work with the toddlers - their transparency touched our hearts and the Presence of God was tangible.
This morning part of the team was already up by 4:30 to walk over to the farm area to milk cows and goats - now to visit various age "houses" for their morning devotions - young girls (5-7 years) and everyone's favorite "Power Toddlers" (3-5 years - boys) - you get the idea!
We will be painting, woodworking, sorting books, playing with toddlers, and visiting other sections of the orphanage that we haven't seen before, hopefully the craft center and the school.
"Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever. For great is your steadfast love toward me; you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol." ~ Psalm 86:11-13

Monday

When we first arrived, we were almost uncomfortable to go visit any of the children groups without some sort of toy, activity, or project -- now our students just let us know that they're going just to "be" with the various groups ...

"Some trust in chariots and some in horses (or jump ropes, coloring books, and bubbles!) but we trust in the name of the Lord our God." (Ps. 20:7)

Today, the older children are at school, so we are painting, doing woodworking, playing with toddlers, helping at the library ... after lunch our young women will go to the afternoon devotions with the older girls (their soccer friends); our young men will go to the boys' areas to share with them, too. Later Sr. Servellon will be giving his testimony at the afternoon chapel.

We're experiencing God's love - and that is has no language. A touch, a shared laugh, a hug - connects us with one another and the divine in a moment that we just cannot organize, plan, or perfect ... we just can't wait to be back with "our kids" to love on them some more!

It has been a blessing to see God meet with each one of us individually and deepen our dependency on Him ...
