Monday

When we first arrived, we were almost uncomfortable to go visit any of the children groups without some sort of toy, activity, or project -- now our students just let us know that they're going just to "be" with the various groups ...

"Some trust in chariots and some in horses (or jump ropes, coloring books, and bubbles!) but we trust in the name of the Lord our God." (Ps. 20:7)

Today, the older children are at school, so we are painting, doing woodworking, playing with toddlers, helping at the library ... after lunch our young women will go to the afternoon devotions with the older girls (their soccer friends); our young men will go to the boys' areas to share with them, too. Later Sr. Servellon will be giving his testimony at the afternoon chapel.

We're experiencing God's love - and that is has no language. A touch, a shared laugh, a hug - connects us with one another and the divine in a moment that we just cannot organize, plan, or perfect ... we just can't wait to be back with "our kids" to love on them some more!

It has been a blessing to see God meet with each one of us individually and deepen our dependency on Him ...
